Outreach
We are part of a national network of churches working in our local community alongside people of all faiths and none to support individuals and families in need.
We reach out to the local community in the following ways:
Weekly
Breakfast Club
Tuesdays
9.30am-12pm
-
The HTC Breakfast Club is for people to have breakfast together and be welcomed into the church space. It is also a place to receive support and advice as well as signposting to additional services. Breakfast includes toast, croissants and boiled eggs and is served between 9.30 and 11.30 am.
Lunchtime Communion
Wednesdays
12.30pm-1pm: Communion service
1pm-2pm: Light lunch
-
Join us at church every Wednesday for Lunchtime Communion service at 12.30pm until 1pm.
We hear a short talk, share communion, and have a reflective space for worship. You’re also welcome to stay after the service for lunch at 1pm.
Monthly
Brixton Prison
Tuesdays
17:30-19:30
Weekly Afternoon Bible Study
Brixton Prison
Sundays
8.45am once a month
Brixton Prison
-
HTC is registered with the Welcome directory. Our goal is to become a place where people who leave prison can find acceptance. We also take a team of volunteers into HMP Brixton to help run Sunday Services and support the prison chaplaincy.
Afternoon Tea
Thursdays
1pm once a month
Trinity House Clapham
-
An afternoon for those over 65 to come together, build community and share tea and cake! There is usually a guest speaker or focus topic, and plenty of opportunity to meet new people.
We take such joy in serving the senior members of our community. We run regular bingo afternoons, afternoon teas and more!
If you would like to be involved, know of someone who would appreciate being part of this community, or have some creative ideas for how to encourage and support the senior community, we would love to hear from you here. You can also find out more details about our events here.
