Outreach

We are part of a national network of churches working in our local community alongside people of all faiths and none to support individuals and families in need.

We are helping people to overcome pressing social challenges by addressing three key areas: Crisis, Cause and Care.

Crisis

We support those in emergency situations through crisis food provision and other immediate help. This includes working with refugees, those who find themselves homeless and ex offenders.

HTC Welcomes Refugees

We want to offer a huge welcome to all refugees. We are part of the Welcome Churches network and would love to meet you and find out how we can help and make you feel at home in the UK. Email us here to find out more or come and speak to us in person at one of our Sunday services or midweek activities.

HTC Prison Ministry

HTC is registered with the Welcome directory. Our goal is to become a place where people who leave prison can find acceptance. We also take a team of volunteers into HMP Brixton to help run Sunday Services and support the prison chaplaincy.

HTC Winter Homeless Shelter

We'll be once again running the Robes Winter Shelter along with six other churches in the area. 15 guests will stay overnight in Trinity Hall every Thursday from 1st December 2022 until 30th March 2023. We will provide them with dinner, bed and breakfast. In order to run the shelter, we need your help. This is a wonderful way to serve the homeless during the winter season. Click here to find out about the different ways you can serve and to sign up to help.

Cause

We identify root causes of poverty and help to advise, equip and signpost people. We work closely with the following organisations to help us achieve this.

Care

We provide community-based support through ongoing wrap-around care such as small weekly groups, drop-in cafes and supportive relationships through the church.

The Breakfast Club

Tuesdays, 9.30am - 11.30am
Holy Trinity Clapham, SW4 0QZ

  • The HTC Breakfast Club is for people to have breakfast together and be welcomed into the church space. It is also a place to receive support and advice as well as signposting to additional services. Breakfast includes toast, croissants and boiled eggs and is served between 9.30 and 11.30 am.

Homework Club

Wednesdays 3.45 pm - 5.45 pm
Trinity Hall, 31-33 Bromells Road, SW4 0BN (Venn St entrance).
Please note this group runs in term time only.

  • Every Wednesday we invite families from schools all around Clapham to join us to get their homework done! There are plenty of resources, games, reading books and helpers to make sure whatever the homework is, we can get it done together. Parents/guardians are expected to stay for the duration of the session to support and encourage their child in their activities.

A nutritious dinner is provided from 5pm as well as opportunity to get to know other families from the area.

Afternoon Tea

An afternoon for those over 65 to come together, build community and share tea and cake! There is usually a guest speaker or focus topic, and plenty of opportunity to meet new people.

Once a month, 1.00pm to 2.30pm

Trinity Hall, SW4 0BN

  • We take such joy in serving the senior members of our community. We run regular bingo afternoons, afternoon teas and more!

If you would like to be involved, know of someone who would appreciate being part of this community, or have some creative ideas for how to encourage and support the senior community, we would love to hear from you here. You can also find out more details about our events here.
