Giving to

The project to revitalise our building for the future is underway.

Please use the information below to find out how you can give to this exciting venture.

The story so far

HTC’s building project is primarily being funded by the local church community, following generous donations from across the congregation. We have received some limited grant funding alongside this, but we need you to help us see the vision be realised.

But the recent changed to the Listed Places of Worship Grant Scheme means that we need to pay an additional £1m in VAT on the project. While we don’t need it by Easter, we need to be totally confident by then that we’re going to have that extra money when those bills fall due.

Here’s our ask:

  • If you haven’t yet pledged but are going to give, please please pledge now by emailing the Ops Director.

  • Equally, our confidence in a pound in the bank is far greater than a pound pledged. You can give now below!

  • So if you have pledged but haven’t paid, and you can pay now, please do it sooner rather than later.

  • Even if the government changes their mind, we still have a deficit remaining for the overall project. So all of this is still needed.

  • If you call HTC you’re home but don’t yet give regularly to the church, this year we’d love you to give to R250.

Give a one-off gift now

If you want to give a one-off gift to Revitalise 250 now, we recommend you do this via BACS transfer (instead of giving through our website), as it means you will avoid paying a 2.5% admin transaction fee. Instead, you could consider including the 2.5% that you’re saving, into the total amount you’re giving, which would be great for the project.

GIFT AID: If you are a U.K. tax payer (you pay Income Tax or Capital Gains Tax in the UK), we can claim back 25p on every £1 you donate through the Gift Aid scheme. To permit us to do this, please complete this Gift Aid Declaration.

Payroll giving via your employer

Many employers offer Payroll Giving which will allow you to give directly to Revitalise 250 from your salary before tax is deducted. To find out if your employer offers Payroll Giving, contact your HR office.

Give via charitable aid agency

You may wish to give to Revitalise 250 via a charitable aid agency such as Stewardship, CAF, Charities Trust, or Charitable Giving. These agencies are useful for those who give to multiple charities and wish to have their giving recorded in one place or for those who wish to give anonymously to Revitalise 250.

Gift Aid

If you pay Income Tax or Capital Gains Tax in the UK, we can claim back 25p on every £1 you donate through the Gift Aid scheme. To permit us to do this, please complete the Gift Aid Declaration above.

If you pay tax above the basic rate, you can personally claim the difference between the rate you pay and basic rate on your donation (25%). You can do this either through your self-assessment tax return, or by asking HMRC to amend your tax code.
