Birth of a child

Many people want to give thanks to God for a child. There are two ways to do this at HTC and in the Church of England. Dedications are open to anybody, whereas baptisms are for families that are regularly part of the HTC church family, with believing parents.

INFANT BAPTISMS

Often known culturally as christenings, baptism is right at the heart of the Christian faith, signifying the commitment of parents, godparents and the church family to raise and nurture the child as followers of Jesus.

DEDICATIONS

Thanking God for a child is an important moment for many families, and any family can have a service of dedication for their new child.
