Day 4: Nothing is Impossible

| Advent 2017

Gabriel to Mary:
"For nothing will be impossible with God." (Luke 1:37)

Gabriel's words to Mary are words of faith. Right there at the beginning of Luke's gospel, before Jesus is born, the limits on God's ability are smashed open.

They are the words that start Mary's journey towards giving birth to Jesus. And they are words you and I need to hear today. You might not have an angel tell them to you, but hear the full force of the echo of Gabriel's words down the ages: “Nothing will be impossible with God."

Where do you need more faith today? Is there a dream or a breakthrough that you've given up on, that you haven't even dared pray about for fear of disappointment?

"Nothing will be impossible with God." It seems as good a place to begin our prayers as any!
